There are now two Dans in the Waterway office, and we couldn’t be more excited to see them partnered for your success.
With more than 15 years of experience in investment research, asset allocation, and portfolio construction, Daniel Trgovich, CFA, or “Dan T.” brings both deep expertise and a long-term mindset to his role as Portfolio Manager at Waterway Wealth Management.
Before joining Waterway in March 2025, Dan served as Director of Investments at Socium Advisors, where he led portfolio strategy and research across a broad range of client portfolios. During his nearly four-year tenure at Socium, he also held the role of Lead Research Analyst, contributing to the firm’s disciplined investment process and client portfolio development. Prior to that, Daniel spent nearly a decade at UMB in Kansas City, serving as Assistant Vice President and Equity Research Analyst, where he specialized in stock selection, forecasting, and supporting institutional equity strategies.
Dan’s investment philosophy is grounded in building durable, diversified portfolios that can weather market cycles while staying aligned with client goals. He believes in owning high-quality investments at reasonable prices, with a focus on long-term growth, downside protection, and tax efficiency. His approach is designed to help clients stay confident, clear, and fully invested—especially when markets turn volatile.
Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dan holds a bachelor’s degree of economics from Concordia University and a master’s in finance with a concentration in investment management from University of Tampa. He and his wife were married in Spring in 2016 and are now thrilled to be returning to the area with their two young daughters. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys family time, church, and staying active—whether it’s on the basketball court or scuba diving in his favorite waters off Cozumel.
Daniel brings a warm and thoughtful presence to the Waterway team. He understands that financial planning is not just about numbers—it’s about caring for our clients. He’s got a knack for helping families grow and achieve success in their journey to full living, and as someone who already has personal ties to The Woodlands, Dan’s return to the community feels like a natural homecoming—not just a career move.
Let’s start here. Send us a quick email and we’ll follow up with an opportunity to get together, we’d love to know what’s on your mind.
